This piece was inspired by the Great Wave by Hokusai. I like the stylised aspect of the Japanese style but I have tried to blend that with a more vintage 70's effect with the muted rays of the sun. It has multiple layers of tile: Iridescent glass, glitter glass, mirror pieces, recycled ceramic kitchen tiles, broken pottery including plant pots and even a mug printed with my mosaic frog which I dropped (so a mosaic hiding in a mosaic!!)
